If you haven’t been to Chandni Chowk then chances are that you haven’t tasted this. Don’t get confused by its name it’s not your usual chaat with spices & chutneys. It resembles snowflakes when served & feels like foam in the mouth. It is prepared with milk, cream, dry fruits & sugar. Daulat ki chaat is a seasonal dish which you might come across in the bylanes of old Delhi during winters. So do try this cotton look alike dish in winters if you ever get a chance to lay your hands on.

3.Changezi Chicken

The specialty of this place changezi chicken with khamiri roti. Just a disclaimer if you don’t like your chicken to be spicy & tangy then this place isn’t for you. Every evening the place is bustling with people except for Tuesday’s. This might not be an ideal upscale dine-in family restaurant.Though scrumptious food on offer does make up for the modesty of the place.

4.Nizam’s

Though Nizam’s are usually famous for their Kathi rolls there’s another gem which you should definitely try & that is keema pav. This is one of my favorite offerings from Nizam’s. Next time when you are there for a regular Kathi roll do give keema pav a shot & you wouldn’t be disappointed.

The best time to visit this place is during the evening because then you can have food in your car & save on all the taxes that you have to pay while dining in.

The place is a heaven for all the eggetarian’s this place serves more than 350 varieties dishes made from eggs. Some of those are so outrageously unique & innovative that you might even doubt that are they even made out of eggs or not. But believe you wouldn’t be disappointed one bit because those multifarious omelets cater to everyone’s taste buds. It would be unfair to pick a favorite from the melange of 350 egg delicacies. 7.Momo’s point

This place is very popular amongst college goers. The quality of food is good though it may not be authentic Chinese, that doesn’t matter as long as it is good. That’s another trait of Delhiites borrow things from other cultures & make them your own by adding the very own Delhi’s flavor to it. Portions served here are substantial unlike most of the cafés. Masala momo’s & tandoori momos should be given a try if you are here.

It’s one of the iconic place’s to have chicken in Delhi. Ambiance & sitting may not be the best in here but chicken curry surely is. Though if you need better sitting & ambiance with the same taste you can certainly go to Minar restaurant just across the street. The place is a rather old school in terms of hospitality but none of those things matter if you get your hands on their delicacies such as chicken curry, butter chicken, chicken tikka & rogan josh. The place is always packed all through the week.

This restaurant is in dusty bylanes of Karol Bagh. This again may not have the best of ambiance but it does have very good fish delicacies which are rare in Delhi. The place is famous for its fish fry & fish tandoori. Besides these, their chicken preparations are good too such as kali mirch chicken & chicken malai tikka. Quality of food is good here & fish preparations with mint chutney are unparalleled. Parking might be a hassle but ambrosial food will make up for it.
